Jamie Lewis, the Virginia based B3 man will be all over the upcoming BROTHERS album, Classic, this summer!
The trio released their first track “Sippin Glass” on the 4th of July last summer and asked Jamie to join them in the studio for the new tracks scheduled to stream this July. Lee ~ “There is nothing like a thick, rocking, Hammond organ and Jamie plays it like no other that we’ve heard around South Eastern Va, we absolutely flipped when we heard his soulful sound.” Jamie’s seasoned licks are just what the BROTHERS were looking for to complete the tone of the their new album.
Jamie Lewis started playing keyboards, piano and Hammond B3 at 9 years old. He grew up fascinated with Johnny Costa, having no clue who he was until much later, only that he was the pianist on, Mr Roger’s Neighborhood, a children’s TV show. He’s played in local bands around Hampton Roads for the last 15 years. He studied music and keyboard performance at Old Dominion under John Toomey. His go to artists have been Billy Preston, Russell Ferrante of the Yellowjackets, Herbie Hancock, and David Davis (60’s gospel organist).Today you’ll find him listening to Corey Henry and Canadian born, Anamolie. Jamie is a regular call for B3 session work at Master Sound Studios in Virginia Beach where BROTHERS is tracking their new album.
“I’m a big ole music lover lol.” ~Jamie
